Clive Carroll Ards Guitar Festival 2018

“…sensational instrumental music that knows no boundaries” – Acoustic Magazine

Clive Carroll has been acclaimed for his masterful compositions, his versatility and technical virtuosity.
Inspired by his parents’ love of old time American music, the young Clive was soon playing in the family band on a homemade banjo. By his teens he was covering soul, pop, funk, and traditional Irish music. Clive went on to earn a 1st Class Honours Degree in Composition and Guitar from Trinity College of Music in London, and by the time he graduated, had not only penned orchestral works, but also an album’s worth of solo acoustic guitar music.
A chance meeting with guitar legend John Renbourn inspired Clive’s debut album, Sixth Sense, and Renbourn took Clive on the road, touring North America and Europe together.

Clive has garnered praise worldwide – lauded guitarist Tommy Emmanuel is a fan, citing his album The Red Guitar as one of his desert island discs.
