The Wood Burning Savages

Formed in Derry City, The Wood Burning Savages are a fast-paced punk rock band who proudly wear the edgy spirit of their hometown on their sleeves. Pulsating riffs and a sharp political edge have led to comparison with artists such as Manic Street Preachers, The Clash and Queens of the Stone Age.

Performances serve up a cocktail of breakneck guitars and frenzied anthems. Led by frontman Paul Connolly, the band shares gritty tales of disillusion, giving a voice to a generation more marginalised than ever before.
In recent months The Wood Burning Savages have supported fast-rising rock acts The Amazons, VANT and Fangclub, as well as playing a hometown show with guitar heroes And So I Watch You From Afar.

Having played the ‘BBC Introducing’ stage at Glastonbury, the band went on to play riotous sets throughout Europe. This is set to be a groundbreaking year for the band, with more live shows than ever and a debut album in the works…
